On the day of our potluck, Brandon asked an excellent question, "Why's it called a potluck?" Ms. Davilla then proceeded to look it up and we discovered that the term potluck has been in use since as early as 1592. Its original meaning was "food given away to guests" and "whatever food one is lucky enough to find in the pot." (thank you wikipedia)
In 2007, I think our potluck in which students and parents provided all of the necessary materials was a great success. Great conversations and food were had by all. Lots and lots of thanks to all of the parents who helped out during the event.
I didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked but here are a few. I look forward to our next celebration.

Delicious!
